Birthday Bouquet

Happy Wednesday! Today I am sharing a new project I've been working on which I am absolutely in love with...
BIRTHDAY BOUQUET

The best part about this bouquet is that when one of your students birthday comes around you no longer have to scramble for a certificate, candy, hat etc... All you do is send your student right on over to the Birthday Bouquet to go pick out a "flower". Then when the student removes the "flower" from the bouquet they have a special birthday pencil and on the back of the happy birthday flower is a little surprise...
a NO HOMEWORK Pass good for 1 night of absolutely positively
NO HOMEWORK!
Isn't that the best birthday present ever?????

WHAT DO YOU THINK about the birthday bouquets?
Would you like one or be able to use one for your classroom?

  7. These are so cute! Working on this project right now!

I am wondering if you'll have students return the flower part when them redeem the homework pass so you can reuse them, or let them keep it. Trying to decide if I should laminate.

  8. I'll let the students keep the flower part as part of their b-day gift. However, I would initial the HW pass w/a sharpie to make sure it is not used more than once ;0)

  12. I love it, but what do you do with the kids that don't have their birthday during the year? Won't they feel neglected?

  13. GREAT question... I usually celebrate students who have summer birthdays during the first week of school. Seeing that my daughter is a summer birthday herself and has missed out on school celebrations, I make sure that my summer b-day kiddos are not forgotten. They LOVE that we celebrate their special day during that first week!

  14. Mel, I LOVE this. I saw it done with Pixie Stix on Pinterest and have started working on it with those, but boy oh boy do I LOVE the NO HOMEWORK PASS!! I will definitely have to add this to it.

By the way, I also LOVE your blog. Thanks for telling me about it. ;)
