Happy Monday, everyone!!!!!!!
I know what you're thinking... why is she soooooo cheery today? Is she leaving on vacation, has she won the lottery, did she just win the world's greatest giveaway? Nope, nope, and nope... although I wish any of those were true. I am HAPPY because I have a few surprises planned for you all for the next few days. So make sure you stay tuned!
Let's begin with the first surprise... drum roll please............ today begins my new series known as...
(Feel free to link up to my message if you like what you see
or are feeling in need of some motivation.)
Every Monday I will post a quote, a thought for the day, a picture... or something to inspire us all come Monday morning when we have a difficult time rolling out of bed after a few lazy days at home with the family. So today's message is something that I plan on hanging up somewhere in my classroom.
When I first read this quote not only did I think about my students working hard throughout the year, but what came to mind was ALL the preparation we as teachers go through in getting our classrooms ready for our students. We all know just how hard and long we work to get our classrooms to look and feel warm and inviting for our kiddos 1st day back. I know that many times when my students enter the classroom they oooh and ahhhh and never give it much thought as to ALL of the hard work that went into getting the room just right... but that's okay! It is our HARD WORK that makes it LOOK so EASY. Just like our students... they will need to work hard throughout the school year in order to make things easy for them...
Are you working hard already?
Next, I wanted to share with you all my latest classroom creation that looks easy to make, but did require hard work to get it just the way I wanted. (I'm a little OCD, which doesn't make things easier ;0)
Isn't it just ADORABLE! I was inspired by a few signs I saw on Pinterest and decided I could make that! In case you are wondering it is not wood, but canvas. Also I used paint for the red background and to make the circles I used these fantastic new paint pens that I am in love with from Sharpie. Who knew Sharpie made oil based paint pens?
Finally, I will end this long post with a sneak peek at what I'm working on for some of this weeks surprises...
What do you think I'm going to be making
with some of these goodies?
XOXO,
I was planning to hang that same quote in my classroom! I've never allowed them to use the word "easy" so this is perfect!
ReplyDeleteAlso, your sign is adorable!!!
Grade Three is the Place for Me!
Thanks!
